Welcome, welcome, sorry about the mess

So this is my blog, it's mainly about Africa and the fact that I'm going there, but it'll probably go on many a tangent before I'm through. Enjoy reading about my adventures, I know I'll enjoy having them.

computer playing up

randomly stopped me mid sentance and went crazy so I'll post in two parts today. Tonight I'm going to Pangani on David's recommendation. It's the beach just south of here. From there back to Tanga to go to Lushoto as was the origonal plan. Then who knows. The world (or at least Tanzania) is very much my oyster. Incase you were wondering I have money now. Though Tanzanian money is called shilling the same as Kenyan but is worth a lot less so I keep thinking everything is really expensive when I'm charged 2000 for a bus ride that in Kenya would only cost 50. Numbers so not my strong point. I changed some US$ which ought to be enough to get me to Dar Es Salaam where I ought to be able to draw some out. Think I'll need to draw out a lot extra just incase I have the same problem again. Don't worry though, I'll keep it safe. So far the only things I've lost are my hoody (still morning the loss, thik it's floating around on a matatu in Kenya still) and a lot of my inhibitions. And I'm having to ajust to the language too. It's still swahili but totally different (like american english which is NOT english) and they hardly speak any english like the Kenyans did. Waaa. Any way, the beach beckons once again. Later guys and gals.
Congrats Chris and Co on baptizm. Hope EP goes really well.

Sounds good - motorbikes are good, even without a helmet, I did it when I was 19 and came to no harm (sorry Wendy's family).

Glad there are no sharks, swimming sounds great.

No ATM is a bit of a nuisance, cant imagine life without one, but glad you got sorted.

YOu have now about three weeks to send me something for the next magazine, dave wrote something from you last time - at least he included something you had sent to GH.

it isnt people who are looking after you Wendy, or who feel you look lost and desparate, it is God sending you the things and people you need right when you need them! He is looking after you!

Take care and have FUN

love hugs and prayers

i'm glad you got a chance to finally swim in the sea
i, too, swam in the sea just last week
however, i was in ireland, not africa, and the water was somewhat more, let's be blunt, cold
perhaps i shall leave my house now, catch a bus to the seashore and swim over to join you in africa
sounds like a plan
keep on swimming, my dearest!

It is pretty long swim tho Tom. especially as we are North West of Africa, and Tanzania is on the East Coast of Africa. So I would do as Paddington Bear did, and take some marmalade sandwiches under your swim cap, and plenty of bottled water (PB didnt do that.

Okay so I am pretty bored and am now sending silly things to the blog, sillier than usual

okay, that solves one thing - I had thought sacrament was Mike! Because of the Leicester connection.

Fish isnt that hard to cook, you just need to remember not to cook it too long. and in my case, Having cooked it I have to remember not to actually eat it, it makes me very poorly

If you cook poisonous food just give it to somebody else. Somebody you don't really like, if possible.

Well, this is all vewwwy intewesting wendy. Accepting charity is scraping the barrel a bit for an englander, isn't it? Not that I wouldn't, but I am devoid of self respect after all....

just kidding. Have fun, take care, blah blah

hmm, well I guess there are plenty of fish in the sea, so finding dinner wouldn't be a problem... the question is how to cook it? unless you didn't mind sushi, but that involves a lot of complicated cutting methinks? not the best thing to do whilst swimming... no, i think you're right, marmalade sandwiches under the swim cap it is... now to find a swim cap...
