Welcome, welcome, sorry about the mess

So this is my blog, it's mainly about Africa and the fact that I'm going there, but it'll probably go on many a tangent before I'm through. Enjoy reading about my adventures, I know I'll enjoy having them.

Change of Plan

This is most likely the first post of many eith the same title. I love the ocean here but you can't swim in it which I reeeeeeeeally want to. There's a campsite on the beach 20km soult which is actually really cheap (Mombasa is an expensive city hence I can't spend too long here). I'm going to head there on Thursday instead. I'll stay there over Easter then head to Tanzania on Monday or Tuesday. That'll be a long day of travelling before I get to where I'm going. Then I'll stay there a week or so then off to Dar Es Salaam. See, I love just being able to change my mind like that and not having to please anybody except myself. It's great.
Oh and Sarah, I tried to finf a returant that served shark but couldn't, only pizzas and curries. There's a huge sea food market in Dar Es Salaam though so I will find some eventually, even if I have to catch it myself.

Stop being mean...........

can i ask big sis why wendy is being mean?

It all seems perfectly nice to me!

Wendy, plans are never set in stone with you and even when you say they are they have a habit of changing sooner or later, well with things like this anyway so you changing your plans never really surprises me.

Giraffes are great. I love their strange long necks!!!!

Why on earth would you want shark? Just, no, yuk, ewwww, please no. Lets leave the nice little creatures alone.

Love you lots x x x

Little Sarah - big sis thinks Wendy is being mean as she want to eat shark, which is big sis's favourite animal. I can see the irony with Wendy, but I would rather she didn't eat it personally - if nothing else Wendy, it may have eaten human in the past, which means that if you eat it, that could technically make you a cannibal!

Wendy, only go swimming if it is safe, if your belongings are safe, and if somebody knows you are in the water and will watch out for you. Please, please watch out for yourself - many people love and care for you and I am so proud to be your Mum!

Love always

Mum

shes only wanting to eat it coz i said id never speak to her again if she did!!

anyway wendy Matt loves them too now and he got me a shark necklace whan Dad took him to the Museum (you remember the place where the mummies used to make you cry!!??)so you ll be upsetting him too....

now i understand -thankyou. I don't mind if she eats shark but upsetting your sister and little matt, now is that a good idea wendy? As long as she can't eat dolphin or hamster then i'm happy! I don't know whether you eat either but all the same.

Is the sea cold in africa? I know your not allowed to swim in it but i didn't know if you knew. I know, i ask random questions at times. You know me.

Take care x x x

And I thought the answer to everything was 42.

I took the cream egg bars to church this morning, but the Cream Egg Monitor wasnt there, so I still have them.

My nice newsagent, Ravi, now sells them. I asked him earlier in the week if he did, and he didnt, but was in the next day and he had got some. He likes to try out new things and often had new things. he was the first place I saw Caramac KitKats. I love kit-kats. Especially the dark chocolate ones which used to only be special editions, but are now all the time ones. But I dont like the chunky ones, or the weird flavour ones.

Why am I writing on this blog about my choices of KitKat. The answer to that is neither 13 or 42.

Good luck finding shark wendy! If you manage to catch one (or buy one) take a picture of yourself stuffing it into your mouth.

Hehe I'm hungry now. Darn.

I think this comment section is weirder than Wendy's blog....which is saying something.

I spent 3 hours at church today rehearing for sundays service, I could've murdered a cream egg bar, Lip :-p

Had I known you were all going to be there this afternoon I would have left them for you.

I have to confess here - I tried a tiny piece of one of Neil's (he is my hubbie) and actually, they arent as yukky as Cream Eggs, but I couldnt eat a whole one.

And of course the comment section is weirder than the blog. Most of the people who contribute are weird. I am in training to become an eccentric old lady. My Latin tutor saying the training is going well!

liz, is so agree with your latin teacher but then i'm sure that i can't say anything. I'm just in an earlier stage of training.hehe

Mike, did you have fun rehearing?

The comments are indeed weird and wonderful but you really can't say anything mike as yours fit in just nicly!

the clock on this server is wrong. it says you posted that at 4:12 am....unless you got up on the wrong day for sunrise communion, I reckon you were sound asleep :-)

No, I was unable to sleep due to pain and was indeed up at that time, although I think I posted it an hour or so before then

sleep?

yes, sleep, that thing that normal people do at night. I spread mine through the day at the moment! Your new meds might be keeping you awake until they settle in. have you told exams office about your diagnosis? It is a major diagnosis which the markers should know about.

It is 3.31 according to computer. I will be trying sleep again soon

Cream Egg Bars are now with Sarah B. There isnt enough for everyone in Gt Heights to have a whole one I dont think, but they break into pieces. Ravi's newsagent sells then in Cheadle Heath, near MOrrisons. So does the shop my auntie used to own in Eccleston Hill between St Helens and Liverpool but that is a little far to go really

Happy Easter everyone

Last night there were three adult baptisms at church, and two further confirmations, one of whom was Chris Mansfield, Susie's boyfriend. I am currently listening to BBc Radio 2, which is talking about Adult Baptism - the Archbishop of York was on earlier. The guy presenting was reading out comments from listeners, and suddenly I heard him say th next comment was from Chris Mansfield of Stockport - and it was the same guy - if you go to www.bbc.co.uk/radio2 and click on Jeremy Vine for 15th April you will be able to hear what he said - it was on just before the one o'clock news

the 15th was saturday..... but it says under Monday 17th April.. 'da vinci code, christian baptism and revenge special'. Is this the one you mean?

At 6:11 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

yes it is, I missed the Da Vinci Code bit but heard the rest - if you dont want to hear the whole show, forward it to just before the 1.00 pm news - but actuallyt Archbishop of York was interesting as well

i have stories a plenty to tell you, my dear, but you're all the way over in afrika
i've just realised it isn't actually spelt with a 'k'
i was thinking of a song that says 'afrika paprika' in it
speaking of paprika, well, no, i'm not really speaking of it at all
what i'm writing is a load of rubbish but not quite as rubbish as what my sister is making me watch on the tv (some strange programme called "dead famous" - gail porter is looking for the ghost of nat king cole)
still, keep up the good work, pet
i'm sure i shall speak with thee soon
ciao for now, amica!
