Welcome, welcome, sorry about the mess

So this is my blog, it's mainly about Africa and the fact that I'm going there, but it'll probably go on many a tangent before I'm through. Enjoy reading about my adventures, I know I'll enjoy having them.

Pidgeon Pie

Greetings from Fes

Wendy is engrossed in something about Harry Potter (and may i add she has a countdown going on on her hand) so i am taking over.

We have been in Fes for the past few days we arrived very early after an over night bus and slept a fair chunk of a day but once we were awake i think it was the nicest place we have visited so far the hotel we stayed at was brilliant despite lonely planet not rating it highly at all the view from the terrace was amazing and we should hopefully have some bazzing pics. The temperature up north is a lot less intense and the people are not quite as amazed to see you (despite the fact we have seen tourists everywhere we have been) and the atmosphere is very chilled.

We went to a cafe last night which was advertising the Pastilla (pastry stuffed with chicken or pidgeon and sprinkled with icing sugar its a Morrocan delicacy apparently) things that Wendy wanted to try and they even did the pidgeon one so she had one (i didnt but i did try hers) and actually it was nice odd concept but tasty enough.

We got a train to Rabat today which is the capital it is very different here to the other places and there is a lot of modern buildings as well as the old town bit where we are staying. It is by the coast though we have not yet headed out to see the sea and there is no beach as such though they do have a surf school!!!!

We are staying in Rabat till Wednesday morning and then off to Casablanca which is our last stop in Morroco which is a shame but at the same time will be nice to get to spain a a bit of normality.

Hope you are all well and got your postcards they took longer than i expected to arrive but at least they got there before we did!!!!

Ewwwww pigeon pie sounds revolting but isn't Wendy adventurous with her food these days, Quite unbelievable really considering the lengths we had to go to to try getting her to eat curry.

I'm not surprised she has a countdown going on on her hand surprised it isn't on her head really.

Sounds like you're still having fun but I can't say I blame you for wanting to get to a bit of a normal holiday in Spain. So long as you've enjoyed the whole trip its all good.

See you soon honeys

It is lunchtime at work and the rain is pouring down so how delightful to be with you both in the sunshine. I would not have been brave enough to eat pidgeon pie (boring dull old age)but it did not put me off my smoked ham and beetroot bap.

a friend came to visit last night and brought me some sponge cake so I poured golden syrup and custard on top and stuck it in the microwave.Absolutely yummy. Perfect food for our current weather. It would be much more exciting to have ice cream for breakfast though.

Keep up the blogging even in normal Spain.

Lots of love A J x x x x x x x x x x

Harry Potter one of my colleague thought the book was already out and another colleague went trotting off to buy it at 11.00 pm last night. she has forgiven her for the duff info and is now running her own countdown.

Hi Girls. Sarah - did you get my text with a photo of an envelope? Not just any old envelope, but an envelope from the DVLA which can only contain a FULL DRIVING LICENCE!

Did you buy a hat from Fez?

What's the hottest temperature you have encountered?

Carry on having lovely adventures!

Love from Mum x x x

Where do we think they are up to now?

It has to be better weather for them than it is for us. Mind you it isn't actually raining *shocked face*

Life is boring when nothing comes out like a cadburys cream egg bar while wendy is away. Thats the most fun food we came up with as far as i remember and wendy has no done pidgeon pie. Can anyone beat that with anything???

Little Sarah

A J here. I have just discovered a cupboard full of "Booklice" - they are tiny mites that can be found in flour and paper goods. I have had to throw all the food away but I am sure I have inadvertently eaten some before I spotted them. I used the flour for pear and amaretti crumble and for Chocolate Brownies (which I made for a friend!) Does that count to compete with Wendy's Pidgeon Pie?

Many years ago I once nearly ate a spider - again accidentally. I am not as brave as Wendy to choose to do these things.

I hope they put a new entry on soon. I am missing sharing the sunshine with them. Sarah and Wendy will tell you who I am.

Bye for now
A J
