aw, but I had pans to be bitter and twisted
I'd planned to spend valentines night naming my 24 cats-not really I figured it'd just be any other day but then Samuel and Jackie bought me a rose and took me to dinner so i'm not alowed to say I hate Valentines day anymore.
It's great to read all your comments. Susie I'm afraid that having had much more than I can bare of it I don't even particularly like iced lemon tea-the ice and lemon parts are fine, it's the tea aftertaste that lets it down. Sorry.
Maybe I'll try my hand at being a coffee drinker this week.
On Sunday it's the church here's 3rd anniversary. We're having a huge party with kenyan style barbecue (which means that the cow is being prepared* on Saturday) and they're expecting around 300 people from 10 until 6. Theoretically this'll be my debut as a dancer but since I've missed** all the rehearsals I don't think i'll be inflicting myself upon them to soon.
It's started raining*** so it feels almost like home except that it's still around 30C.

*for prepared read 'slaughtered'
** for miss read 'avoided'
*** well it's rained twice though the first time shouldn't really count-it was a rubbish attempt
****It's all good!

Hi Wendy - it's good to hear from you via your blog. Does it cost you anything to receive phone texts from us? Sounds like you are having a wonderful time whilst we are dodging frequent showers and are likely to see more snow before Winter ends! Do you remember Winter - rain, cold, rain, wind, rain, ice, rain, snow, rain, sleet, rain, hail, rain? Love You lots - any chance of you getting a picture of yourself on the blog - perhaps stood next to a lion!!!!!!!! Love from Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(I must try to free the jam on the "x" key.)
A pic is great I can make sure it gets in the church magazine, but next to a giraffe would be safer, dont want you accidently being eaten. If you send me the article I will make sure it gets in, although I cant use my right hand for 4 weeks after the op, I will still be at the computer, practising typing with toes, nose, etc. Glad you are having a great time - as for St Valentine, he was actually a 3rd century priest, lived around 269 AD apparently, and was not interested in women at all, (or men), he only loved God. He became the patron saint of lovers because his feast day was 14th February, which is the day it used to be traditionally believed (thinnk late Roman early Medieval) that birds and animals paired up for the summer mating. At least that is what Anthony says - he says hi by the way. We have Wendy updates in class most weeks.
Take care and keep smiling, I will keep praying

How are your fingers and can you play Einaudi yet?
I thought I heard a Blackbird the other day - ah - Spring is here - it was a very clever Starling so it is still winter.
Watch you don't melt 30 sounds hot to me whether centigrade of fahrenheit.
Bye for now lots of love x x
I know lots of Christians will be visiting the site. So please can you pray for the family of Eva Gourley (daughter in law of Jill and Ben if you are from CHMC). Eva is originally from the Phillipines, and her home village is affected by the mudslide, her family are alive and have made contact with Eva, but they are very afraid and darent sleep in case it happens again, they are waiting to be rescued.
Sorry to hijack your blog Wendy, I am trying to get word out to as many people as I can

Hey wendy,
Sounds like things are going well. please try not to scare the kids too much. If your fingers start to hurt too much from practicing the guitar do what i do 'forget' to practice. Hope everything stays good.
stu ;)
Party day today I hope it is really brilliant and you have a wonderful time. Look forward to reading all about it. I do feel a bit sorry for the cow though.
Have been to the Post Office to find oout the gen and the gen is good. Any mail sent to you would only take 4 - 5 days. I reckon that is pretty cool. All we need now is an address. Bye for now with lots of love. x x
